Lugage net

Featured Replies

My wife has a 2011 Roomster and by and large we are happy with it, but the gap between the back seats and the parcel shelf is really annoying, particularly if we put anything on the parcel shelf because it invariably falls into the boot!

Does the (optional) luggage net bridge the gap if I were to buy one? What does everyone else do about it? I cant be alone in finding it a nuisance am I?

Thanks....that could be just the ticket!

Did not know that exist :-)

Thanks.

Well this is a photo of the code... a bit shaken

and this is of how it looks like when fitted (from inside)

It cost me 30 euros, there is no velcro to stick at the back of the seats and the part number is identical to Yeti's BUT it does not fit to Roomster. So your dealer have to be a bit carefull to provide you the right staff. Mine wasn't and had to re-order it. Fitting it is ridiculus.

I think it is a very useful accessoir that prevents curious eyes from looking into my trunk.

Now you got me worried, I have just ordered this to go with the new Roomie and DMK770005 is the number listed in Skoda Accessories brochure. Evidently, this part is not meant for Roomster as it has only 2 split seats.

What is the correct part number for genuine Roomster cover that is split in 3 parts, one for each seat, and which does have Velcro attachment to rear seats?

I just use a picnic blanket. runs from half way down the parcel shelf to the boot floor and is help in place with junk (like supermarket carriers and warning triangle) in the boot.

I just checked Yeti accessories, and it lists DMK630001, so it seems that DMK770005 is the intended Roomster number after all.

But why is this cover split into 2 parts when Yeti has 3 seats, and it's actually just the middle one that has the big hole to boot?

And why is it different from Skoda's own Roomster gallery picture?

My cover is the newest version and I really don't know why the new version of cover is splitted in two. The only reason i can see is to drop the cost and maximize their profit. By the way, as i wrote before the cover is attached at the parcel shelf by four metal clips and at the two outer rear seats with four plastic hooks - adapters (as shown in my photo) two for each headrest and no more velcro.

The problem with the Yeti's cover is that Yeti's cover is a few cm wider and cannot be attached to our parcel shelf, due to the different formation of theplastic sides of the trunk. I know that for sure because I tried it due to dealer's mistake.

I did further search into this and here is what I found:

  1. The older, nicer 3-part Roomster cover was DMK779005 and from what I read, change happened around 2009
  2. The new, uglier 2-part Roomster cover is DMK770005
  3. The ebay merchant link posted earlier, like many others on internet, is showing the old, nicer 3-part cover while selling you the new, ugly 2-part cover, it is basically misselling.

French and German Roomster forums are full of posts crying over the change. Basically, Skoda had a perfectly good, perhaps slightly less durable product and they replaced it with something that serves little purpose as you can still see into the boot. The biggest hole is at the middle seat and by the looks of the new cover, it is the most exposed.

Off to the dealer tomorrow, will check if it is still possible to get older cover, but somehow I doubt it. Since I am going to get the new style one anyway with the car when it arrives, I might cut a black blanket into shape and add some velcro for the middle seat, or even mount a flex wire between the plastic mounts and drop a longer blanket to middle seat base to allow it to be folded and used as a table whilst the boot is still covered.
