fitted powerflex lower engine mount insert today, the diesel 1 and the car is vibrating when start up and full car is shacking and vibrating wen u reach the biting point must admit it is alot smoother threw gear changes but i am contemplating removing bush as it is annoying, also clutch seemed to slip a few times since fitting, does this seem normal for this when these bushes are fitted??

Is it a torque arm insert? I noticed increased vibration on mine after fitting one, specifically clutch judder in reverse.

This is a side affect of fitting these, basically it tightens up the front end which means more vibration is transfered from the engine to the body as there is less absorbing material between the engine and body. Since a diesel by its very nature has more vibration, then its more obvious with a diesel engine.

Been looking to fit one of these on my tsi so won't have anywhere near the vibration on your diesel but from what I've heard they do settle a bit, but from what you say I can't see the vibration calming enough to keep it!

Anyone got one fitted to a petrol and can comment?

I fitted something similar to my old Ibiza TDI. Was very noticeable at first but did seem to calm down (or I got used to it). I think the solution to make it a little more bearable was to up the idle speed in VCDS a little.
