dance radio settings for back speakers

Featured Replies

hi guys,

I have a fabia with dance stereo, which, when I bought it 4 years ago, I was driving alone the majority of the time, so to save costs (and I am hard of hearing) I turned off the back speakers.

Now I tend to drive lots of people, and would like to turn them back up and have totally forgotten how I did it. I have checked the manual and it really doesnt help. Does anyone know how to do this?? More for the sake of my passengers than for me :)

thanks in advance if anyone can help with this predicament! (and assume I am a dummy)

If that is your model, the answer is on page 4: https://mediaportal.skoda-auto.com/resource/documentation/manuals/en/Fabia/06-2009/Radio/A05_Fabia_Dance_CarRadio.pdf

Need to adjust the fader setting dude.

Balance is left to right

fader rear to front

how does turning off the back speakers save cost?

how does turning off the back speakers save cost?

To drive something electric means a load on the alternator, which is driven from the engine, which is fueled by petrol which costs money.

So I estimate a saving of approx 5p per annum, depending on volume setting.

Tony :nerd:

I drive at night with no lights on i save 20p per annum

I am thinking if i don't use aircon stereo electric windows and lights i might save nearly £1 a year :giggle:

if you shave off all hair and trim all nails will save another £1 per year

Just think how much you could save by keeping your computer switched off! This guy asked a legit query here!!!

Anyway, turning off the aircon would save at least twice that!!

As mentioned, you need to readjust the fader controls... i think you need to fiddle with the button bottom right on the facia, then go through features, such as bass, treble, fade, etc and adjust fade so you get it somewhere near central. I usually have just a little more to the rear, to get more effect from the system.

hi guys,

so i have gone through the fader menu, and the back speakers definitely do not come on... though i am pretty sure this is how i turned them down in the first place. however, now, if i have the radio on and transfer the balance to the back speakers fully, there is no sound at all. so the front speakers work but the back ones do not work at all. any suggestions on what i can do to sort this out??

Check the speakers are connected at both ends would be the next stage

Is your car the level '1' trim, if so it does not have rear speakers fitted as standard. you'll need a pair of 6.5" speakers and some adapter rings, and some speaker cable, all can be done for under £40 if fitting yourself
