How do I remove the rear exterior door handle?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how I would remove the exterior door handle from the back door of my 2005 Octavia 2? I've removed the door card and the little gromet thats inside the door in line with the handle but I can't see the usual spline/hex screw to remove the handle.

The reason I want it removed is because I think the cable has snapped right at the handle.
