Premium Bluetooth installed or not

Featured Replies

Hi

I just bought a SuperB from 2009. The "non" skoda dealer where i bought it told me it got bluetooth handsfree.

I have tried to follow the manual step by step on how to pair the phone ignition on and search from my phone. But it does not detect the Skoda_BT

Is there someway to find out what system is installed as the dealer does not have a clue. I can see that a Microphone has been installed so i know the previous owner had some sort of handsfree.

Best Regards

René

The factory microphone is hidden in the roof, so if you can see it then it would suggest you dont have this option fitted.

^^ what he said....if there's a visible microphone then it won't be an OEM bluetooth setup - it will be some 3rd party (maybe Parrot or something like that).

As for whether there's actually a working Bluetooth box attached to the visible mic...aside from actually tracing the mic wire and seeing where/what it leads to, I'm not sure if there's any way of knowing if there's one installed or not, esp if there's nothing showing up when you seach for devices. When you search for devices on your phone, does it list any devices at all? And did you try searching with your ignition on? Most Bluetooth kits (I think!) need the ignition on before they power up.

Sorry can't be more help...

If the car has MFSW then it'll have a phone button. Oherwise it's decoding the sticker in the service book.

If it is an aftermarket handsfree the there will a box somewhere around.

Is there a phone menu on the Maxidot?

If not chances are it is not OEM or Fiscon installed.

The oem unit is under the drivers seat at the front.
