help with lights

Featured Replies

hi all can someone provide me with where i can get some led sidelights, led numberplate lights and a hid kit that works with my octavia vrs 57 plate?? thanks in advance

The use of LED bulbs can be very much hit and miss.

Your Octavia is fitted with a CANBUS system which monitors the current that passes through the bulbs and alerts the driver of a failure through a light/message on the dashboard when the current is disrupted/bulb fails.

Replacing the standard bulbs with LED's (which pull much less current) fools the system into thinking the bulb isn't working which results in the 'bulb out' warning being permanently displayed.

There are lots of sellers that advertise 'CANBUS friendly' LED bulbs that still do not work so you need to do your homework.

There are plenty of threads on the use of LED bulbs and the best ones to use, you just need to do a search using the search box at the top of the screen.

HID's are also a hot topic, again plenty of discussion on here, I'll find some threads for you...
