Anyone using the Samyang 14mm f2.8 UMC?

Featured Replies

As per the title, read good reviews around the web and sample images seem good. Anyone here using one, particularly on a full frame camera?

I had a play with one at focus , this year and last . Its fairly sharp at f4 . unless you need 14mm go for the 17-40 or the 16-35?

I already have a 17mm zoom, but I am looking to go wider with a prime. Am also considering 12 to 24 Sigma. From what I have seen of full size samples shot at around f5.6 and upwards, the Samyang seems to offer equal sharpness and better contrast than much more expensive zooms at the sort of apertures I intend to use.
