Audi A1 quattro - so will there be a Fabia 4x4?

Featured Replies

I see Audi have squeezed 4x4 into their A1

I seem to remember that a Fabia Mark 2 isn't quite the same platform as the latest Audi A1/ VW Polo (?), but now they've cracked the problem of adding 4x4 gubbins, maybe the Fabia Mark 3 Scout will be a genuine 4x4...?

It makes sense brand-wise, as apart from Audi, Skoda is probably the brand within the VW stable with the most 4x4 models (eg. 4x4 Octys, Yeti, and even the non-4x4 Scout Fabia is pitching for the same sort of market).

Don't hold your breath

Very much doubt it. The extra cost would make it similar price to the polo gti and then who would buy the polo or the Ibiza.

No. HTH.

Doubt it. Skoda aren't even allowed to lower their VRS models properley.

Talking of the A1, Top Gear mag loved it !

They called it a small supercar !

Simply put with the unconfirmed Polo Cross, Polo R and Audi S1 where exactly does a Fabia VRS + or Fabia Scout 4x4 fit into the VAG range? Simply put it doesn't.

The only time I could see it being released would be once the next A1/Polo platform has been produced and even then I doubt it will be with the same engines as the Audi and VW parentage.
