Featured Replies

Hello guys

Just wondering if you could help me I have just had a new standard sachs clutch put in. I want to remap my car to about 300lbft hw long should the clutch last for.

All depends how you drive the car.

What is the best way to make the clutch last

What is the best way to make the clutch last

Common sense helps a lot just drive the car with respect remember its not a Formula 1 race car.

Use the revs and don't boot it in 6th at 40mph or do santa pod launches all the time should clear 100k

As above, don't boot it until over 2k rpm in 4th and 5th, and higher still in 6th. If in doubt, change down!

Ok thanks guys I have been told with a stage one remap anything between 170-180bhp and 280-305lbft is that about right I have got a FMIC aswel

Thanks

Craig

I'd say 160-175bhp.

I was told the standard clutch was good to about 300lb/ft but I was running mine at about 320lb/ft (unknown to me at the time) and never had a problem.
