OEM BT Kits - beep/bong when phone connected/disconnected

Featured Replies

In my previous Octavia II's I have the OEM Bluetooth kit installed, and then ever the phone was connected or disconnected a beep/bong noise could be heard.

Now I've got my Superb II with the newer BT module this noise is no longer heard - can be be reactivated?

Strange as it sounds, I really miss the audible confirmation of connection/disconnection - where I park my car at home or at the office it will connect to my phone even if I've left it behind, then when I drive away I get another audible warning that the phone has disconnected, drawing my attention to the fact that I've left my phone behind!

It can be via VCDS

Look up somebody in the VCDS list near you and pm them

Gizzmo68 disabled mine in my Yeti for me.

As rockhopper said yes it can be done via VCDS, they do seem very hit and miss whether they bong or not from the factory / PDI.

Did your old one also bong every time you dropped out of service / reconnected as well? My old Parrot did that and it drove me mad!

Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the list of "VCDS Wishes"

@Gizmo68 - my old onew would only bing when the BT connect was established or ended - not when the GSm signal was lost/restored...
