Hi all newbie with car problems

Featured Replies

hello all my name is ash im 25 and live in hertfordshire, bought my skoda fabia vrs a few weeks back and we very impressed with it untill all hell broke loose last week,

abs and tcs lights come on last week, brakes still work so keep driving,

alternator belt brakes, think this could have been problem due to drop in voltage,

replace belt and lights still on, get plugged into vag com at a ridiculous cost and it says front left speed sensor so replaced this today and problam is still there,

when i start the car there is usually no lights on but the brakes are ****** like the abs just kicks in extreme and the brakes hardly work then the lights come back on and the brakes work ok but obviously i have no abs and no traction controll as this runs through the abs

******* car is being and actuall asshole especially as ive only had it a few ******* weeks and ive just loost my job just been one of those ******* months so if anyone could help me out it would be massivly appreciated.........

apologies for language etc but my god am i wound up with life right now...

ash..

welcome to briskoda

Hello Ash and welcome along.

I can't offer any help I'm afraid but have a look the Fabia forum for similar issues.

Next time try and find someone on here near you with vag com you normally find someone willing to help you out... or buy your own lead and software from the internet, saves you money in the long run!... Don't have any advice to offer on the problem though but good luck with it.

Yes lots of people here have VAG com so worth making some friends on here and going to some meets. I'm not sure what the problem is but they may not have fitted the sensor properly or they may not have reset the computer properly. I'd take it back to the people who did the work if that was the only code that was being thrown up.

I'm sorry to hear about your grief :( Drop a post in the Fabia 1 forum: someone may be able to cast more light on this.
