Annoying squeal when turning

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I have a 06 fabia vrs and it started to make a squealing from one of the front wheels or both it occurs when you turn fairly short n sharply... Any ideas????

Sorted mine out by stripping and greasing the brake pads.(not the friction faces of course)

We're your symptoms the same??? I've had squeaky brakes in the past with cars when lightly braking etc

Mine made a horrendous squeal when I turned the wheel to the one o clock position while driving,I could sort it out temporarily by driving down a quiet stretch of road and absolutely nailing the brakes a few times, this stopped the noise for a while and is the reason that i knew it was the brakes and not something more sinister,

Lol to greased the brake pads ! Yep, my brakes will now last forever - can't ever stop mind :)

Yep a bit of copperslip on the backings helps for a while, there are things that I'd be far worried about than that though, like the oil gunk between the air intake and the intercooler/turbo.

Yep I've had this recently too, might be the combination of both good and crap weather in no time difference whatsoever....enough to make anything temperemental
