Fabia vRS Cutting out

Featured Replies

Haven't been on this site in a while, sold my vRS a few years back.

Just recently bought another (couldn't refuse it at the money!!) haven't even set my eyes on it yet!! :giggle:

Only problem with it is that it will start, run for a few minutes and then stop. Obviously I know a diagnostic check is the best option, but just thought I'd ask here if there is anything obvious to check beforehand?

Car was a finance repossession so I reckon the previous owner has sabbotaged it a little before handing it back!!

Sorry but vcds is the first step. If its showing a fuel pump relay issue then it could be a dead ecu. I bought a spare and repair one of eBay which has this fault. Car would drive fine then randomly cut when I fitted it.

Running for a few minutes and then cutting out is a little odd. Definitely a case of seeing what VCDS thinks. Definitely looks like a fuelling issue, but caused by what specifically is tough to call.
