VRS Insurance renewal quotes

Featured Replies

Just had the renewal done with Admiral Insurance.

All mods declared (including front splitter & tinting)

6 years NCB protected.

Age - 43

£455 PA inc direct debit fee.

Been with them for a while now, excellent.

Main reason I swapped cars was the insurance on the vRS I'm 23 with 2 years NC and its £500

jonny boy i'm with them too but pay less than you - and you're 16 years older than me :D

strange jonny coz ur not too far from me, similar age but i pay half although i have zero mods

sort of makes the postcode banding wrong

still its a lot less than others have been quoted and so long as your happy thats all that matters

hopefully we'll never need to know if their worth their salt or not

I moved from CA13 to CA14 and got a rise of £40!!!! I insisted I still live in a little village in the middle of nowhere, but my insurance company was , like, "thats still a Workington post code... nothing we can do..." :wall:

Young whipper snapper !

I do have a total of 8 mods including a 15% power hike. Absolutely everything has been disclosed. You'd be amazed how many things are classed as mods.

Anything this isn't standard spec. Does anyone know how good or bad Admiral are with mods? I'm tempted to stay with them but if I change things and they get arsey I'll switch well in advance

I'm with Admiral too. My insurance went down £50 when I swapped my modded fabia vrs MK1 to a MK2, but its still £750 GRRRRR (and thats 10 years NCB and 0 points, ever)

Try getting that with BD postcode!!!!

€470/year here in Sweden..

Admiral quoted me £350ish with no mods, present insurer matched it and threw in some other stuff so stuck with them.

Admiral seemed to be fine with mods, as Jonny has. Use their online calculator and it will show you the differences the mods make, when I played around with it it seemed to just add the money for the highest risk mod.

I checked out several 'performance insurers' and they quoted WAY higher than Admiral. They seem excellent with mods.

What age are you ?

27. At the time of renewal id just passed 10 years of having my licence. Its probably due to where i live

Took out a new policy with Admiral myself only yesterday....... starting on Saturday when my current Insurance runs out

26 years old

vRS - no mods (at the moment)

7 years no claims

No points / claims

£410

£600 ATM then will be £360 on renewal

Im just over a grand with elephant but they thought i had. 2 years no claims when i was only 18 which dosnt make sense but hey ho i wasnt complaining because it was cheaper.

Best laugh is that i was under my dads name when i first got my vrs and it was just over a grand aswell then the renewl quote came in.....£5000!!!! And when we enquired why it had jumped the said because of my age so i went on compare the market.com and got a quote from the SAME company with me as the only driver for a grand, so we asked them how this worked out as the said my age made it so deer under my dads name...... Needless to say they couldnt explain but i wasnt complaing as they wer still 3grand cheaper than the next closest quote

i'm 19 and also with admiral, and paid just under £1200 i think in january with 2 years ncb. not to bad, considering people just a year or 2 younger than me are paying £2k+ for a corsa

wow i just got a £42 569 quote.....might take it!

32 yrs old. 7yrs ncb. no points. bd postcode. Remap.

£450 with Chris knott
