direction problems

Featured Replies

I have Octavia vRS for 1 1/2 years, only done 20k miles. noted recently that the steering wheel is 5-10 dgr rotated to right in order for car to travel in a strait line.

I am the only driver and I am very careful (avoid pot holes wherever I can, drive slowly over speed bumps..etc), there has been no accident..etc. i do not know what can be the cause of it. I have just change wheels from winter to summer wheels and also at my first service they have changed brake pads and disks on front both sides.

Already booked for a service under warranty but i was wandering what can be the cause of it..

Had the same thing with mine, about 2 years old. Done it since new, but started to irritate me after a while as the car was otherwise faultless.

Dealer wouldn't fix it under warranty at the first service (18 moths from new) as the warranty only covers steering for the first six months. Your dealer might be more generous.

I've just learned to live with it until I need to replace the front tyres.
