Damn, you beat me to it :(

Is it just a Yeti-specific price, or is it an actual Yeti-specific fuel?

 For all cars...of course, not only for my dear Yeti. :giggle:

£1.15 a litre unleaded and £1.19 Diesel here and that includes road tax

Currently costing me on average £50 a week to commute to work in the Yeti. Four years ago the Golf 4motion I had then, with very similar fuel economy was costing £28 :S

Be nice if wages went up by that amount

For comparison i was paying £96 per week to go to work in the TDV8 Range Rover in 2010, £39 in the 1.2 Fabia Greenline in 2011 and now £60 in the 170 Yeti in 2012.

So even with the prices going up I'm still noticably better off. :) (well, over the Vogue anyway!)

Yep. Portugal is enviably cheap.

Here is the Europe-wide comparison table: http://www.drive-ali...ces_europe.html

Don't forget to fill up in Luxembourg if you are driving home.

That is an interesting link and highlights the differences between petrol and diesel prices, eg France, Holland and Germany, as against that in the UK. I simply fail to understand why diesel should be more expensive than petrol in the UK.

You need to drive across the border into Spain, Diesel and petrol are substantially cheaper than the Algarve. Petrol works out at just over £1.05 a litre, and diesel about the same based on current exchange rates.

You see a lot of portuguese cars filling up in the closest towns on the spanish side, whereas the motorway services on the portuguese side are always empty.

I am amazed at your prices, being on one of the Islands. Here on the Isle of Man we are always told the price is due to the extra shipping costs to bring fuel here. I would have thought this would have applied to the Channel Islands as well, but apparently not! Prices here at present are 145.9p per litre unleaded and 150.9p per litre diesel. That's as well as £149.00 per year tax for the Yeti, due to its emmissions. Wife's 1.5 diesel Renault Clio is only £40.00 per year tax!

For memory's sake, today's petrol prices in Moscow:

20120316%2520004.jpg

95 RON "ECTO" (Euro 4 with cleaning additives, which I fill up my Yeti with) costed 29.67 rubles/litre which is 0.64 pounds or 0.77 euros a litre.

Diesel costed roughly the same - 29.27 rubles.

The prices are to go up by at least 10% by Summer as the ruling party of crooks and thieves (sorry, just can't resist) already have taken care of fuel taxes but kept them low during the presidential campaign of you know whom...

This is the best site to get current fuel prices across Europe: http://www.fuel-prices-europe.info/

Noted they give wrong (outdated?) numbers for the Ukraine. 95 RON price there is about 10.50 UAH now, not 8.50 (link). I filled up at 11.10 UAH in September...
