Trackmyskoda: does it work?

Featured Replies

So, I've got my SLI number and tried it. I wasn't surprised that a build date is not yet allocated. So I thought I'd check to see if a car with a lower number had a date. Same answer. Tried a few, all the same.

So I tried my phone number. Apparently that's waiting for a build date too! Does it really do anything?

Can't commment as it is not applicable to us but did laugh at the fact that your phone number is awaiting a build date :giggle:

That only works for a couple of dealers based around north midlands i believe.

I agree it seems quite useless. My car was built and left the factory last Tuesday and according to trackmyskoda it is yet to allocated a build date.

I tried it yesterday and it informed me no build date agreed. Turns out my new car arrived at the dealers the next day :-)

I think that Rainworth developed itbut can't be sure.

Lol that your phone number worked - what model did it come up as?

This has come up before...The website is owned by Vision Automotive Group and only works for their dealers' orders I believe. That's Rainworth at Mansfield and Bickerton in Sheffield.

It appears to me that it sounds good in theory but the practice is somewhat flawed.

Whats wrong with just letting your customers know, even if the news isn't great?

I got mine from Rainworth and the tracking worked OK. They did tell me that it can be 2-4 weeks out of date though.

  • 5 weeks later...

I got mine from Rainworth too, it worked the whole time, I found it really useful.
