As above really, What parts do i need to fix my deadlocked doors. The rear pas side is totaly deadlocked hasnt opened for months and the front pas iv got to lock and unlock 2 - 8 times befor the lock will pop. Need to fix soon so i can get the car seat in and out when the baby come.

Before you do anything else, remove the lower trim from the 'A' and 'B' pillars. Behind the trim you will find the electrical connectors for the doors. Check for corroded pins in the connectors. It could also be a break in wires as they enter the door. Moving the wires (paticularly the thick red/yellow one) may allow you to unlock the door.

I will try this on Sunday. The front door is intermittent sometimes it works perfect and others not so. You can here the locking mechanism straining the time before it opens the lock if that makes sense.

Ok iv checked the wiring for the door and it's all good. What to do now?

Mine does it now and then and if I pull the internal handle at the same time as pressing the unlock button on the fob it will release the deadlock,sometimes you need to do the process of locking and unlocking whilst pulling the handle a few times before it releses but failing that you'll need to get the door card off which ain't easy as the screws are hard to get to

So what parts do i need i dont have a clue what to get. Im asuming its just the big green thing attatched to the lock. is it called a locking motor or somthing. Sorry for my stupidaty.

Ross, i had a similar problem on mine. As mentioned above try pulling the internal handle while unlocking the car - if you manage to get the door open spray a copious amount of electrical contact cleaner into the lock and leave it for a while. I can't guarantee that it will cure the problem but it worked for me.

Got new locking mech in the post so should get it sorted next week. Windows now tinted. Gona polybush her in a couple of week and do the wide mouth (Fmic from the missus for my bday in may) don't know what else to do now. Remap at the end of the year.

Was thinking about colour coding the bumpstrips but not sure what to do with the sides, colour them or just take them off.

@ N14 there's a new one on bayhead for sale. Destriped so don't really won't it the same.
