WIPERS BROKE/FUSE KEEPS POPING?!

Featured Replies

HI THIS IS MY FIRST ON A FORUM SO BEAR WITH ME

HAD MY FELI ABOUT 8 MOUNTHS NOW AND THE WIPERS HAVE DESIDED TO DIE ON ME IN TURENTAL RAIN.

MANAGED TO GET IT HOME AND FOUND THE FUSE HAD GONE, SO REPLACED IT AND WAS FINE FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS BUT LAST NIGHT IT DONE IT AGAIN.

NOW EVERY TIME I TRY PUTTING A NEW FUSE IN IT POPS SOON AS I TURN THE IGNITION ON :wall:?

ANY IDIEAS WOULD BE GR8 THANKS

No need to use caps mate. Sounds like something may be amiss with the wiper motor if it blows straight away

Yeah, as said above, really going to be either the wiper motor (very likely) or the wiring (not very). Easy enough to tell - disconnect the wiring from the motor, replace the fuse and turn the switch on. If the fuse doesn't blow, then it's new motor time... They're easy enough to fit.
