Look for another one with less miles on it...

Or at least check all MOT and services all match up to correct mileage, maybe run a hpi check or mycarcheck and select the check mileage option.

Find out if its had a cambelt change should at least have one done in 2010 if it was registered in 2006, every 4 years or something like 60K miles, i forget the later, check with a Skoda dealer.

Check tyres for scrubbing, might need alignment checked.

Oh and one big one, make sure when you switch the esp light, it comes on and off on the dash, if it stays lit when trying to reactivate you have a big problem.

I have just put a deposit down for a 2006 vRS Estate with less miles on it and a full Skoda servcie history, also my first Skoda and this is the info I picked up reading through countless threads

Oh where are my manners, Welcome!

I'd be weary if they've got no real details to back it up...

Maybe look for a car with less miles (dependant on budget etc)
