Probably a long shot, but does anyone know the part number and price for the false/raised floor in the Octavia estate?

Wow that's expensive for a couple o bits o chip board covered in cheap carpet.

I can't believe the floor mat for the raised floor is just short of £90.

I have a raised floor and to be honest I think its a bit impracticable for my use,

I brought it used so does not have the proper mat but has all the pieces, if you're interested

First time that had a tall parcel to put in and could not close the roller thingy( Break), soon as I got home took the floor out and don´t miss it.

Now 1 thing to remember.

With false floor from factory, the carpet is not as wide so that leaves metal line on the floors trunk visible( got the rubber mat and it resolves the question)

the other way round the false floor may not settle down properly because it will be on top of the carpet as tha carpet for non false floors covers the hole floor properly

So I have decided to have a go at making my own raised floor, but I am struggling to find a supplier of automotive carpet! It seems I require needle punch non woven carpet, but all the sites offering it ask for a minimum order or 30m, or £40!!!

Try a large caravan and camplig outlet they tend to keep that sort of thing but it aint cheap.

If I can get a couple of metres for under 20 quid I would be happy, got enough wood in the garage to build the thing, so the only expense (apart from the carpet) will be a handle and a couple of piano hinges!
