hi new to this forum i have got a skoda fabia the power steering light is on and there is no power steering operation the battery light goes off when vehicle is started .can i get a wiring diagram from any one, our can some one point me in the right direction what to check and what reading i should be getting .

You could always try the pas thread in the tech section.

Not sure how relevant this will be but when my battery was on the way out, my power steering light would come on when I started the car and I would have no power steering. If I let the car tick over for 5 min or so then switched it off and straight back on the light would go out and my steering would work. I had no other lights on the dash and no probs starting the car, the first I knew the battery was failing was when it suddenly refused to crank the starter one day! Anyway, just wondered if ur problem could be as simple as a dying battery. If not, hope u find what ur looking for :-)

I've got similar issues at the moment. Could be a number of things, firstly check the battery is good and is receiving the correct charge. It could also be the alternator sense wire or the angle sensor or even the pump itself. These are the things I would check. As Tech1E says there is a thread in the tech section that is far more in depth.
