Front Suspension Bushes.......(EGR Question and a big up for Ocyt vRS brakes)

Featured Replies

Can the front wishbone bushes be removed and re greased?

I have a bad squeek from the front over humps and bumps and wanna make sure it was all greased up when the previouse owner put powerflex bushes on it. I will try the ARB bushes and see if it does the trick but just in case. (not a fan of Powerflex)

Q on the EGR disabling via VCDS, I have done it as it says in the destructions and the car ran like poo and didnt go from 250mg to 370mg like it says, mine only went to 350? I had a play with the numbers and I changed it from 250mg to 310mg and it pulls harder and starts and stops a lot smoother?

I hope someone knows what I am on about?

How does this do anything to the EGR valve?

Lastly I fixed the ABS problem with a new sensor and it was sooooo easy to change, I was amazed at how easy it came out.

While I was looking for the fault for this I decided to swap the brakes too seen as I had rear brakes off an Octy vRS and the fronts on mine were gonna be swapped for LCR Brembos lol.

Took 3/4 goes to bleed the brakes but it was well worth it! I used an Eezibleed and also wouond back the callipers at same time as bleeding while also slowly pressing the brake pedal down and up again a few times for each calliper.

Bit of a ball ach but now they are spot on. Love the feel now, start biting at the top and its very progresive. Well worth while doing as the std brakes are proper S***E! even tho the previouse owner had put new discs and pads all rounf lol.

Well I now love the fabia even morebut the more Idrive it the more I want to do something about the rubbish handling as in a bend the car wollows about and is not pleasent at all. Only thing is the deal for having it is to keep it std. bit of a bummer there but keep looking for a good cheap RARB lol.

cheers
