SKODA FABIA VRS TICKING?

Featured Replies

Hello All

I have a 2006 fabia vrs 39k from new, and today i went out in it and heard ticking which went up and down the rev range, this happened all day during the couple of times i used it. when i just got back the ticking had gone and the diesel sounded really sweet. Behind all the normal diesel sound appeared this ticking which was strange has it hasn't happened before, I'm wondering if it is the weather due to the increasing temperture?

If anyone knows this please could you respond

many thanks

mine does this sometimes aswel but stops as soon as the engine oil is upto full temp. only happens if ive dont short journeys and the car hasent managed to get upto full temp. would be good if someone has any ideas!

These engines can get sticky tappets. Mine had one for a few days then it cleared itself over night and has never come back. Sounds a bit like the old ford 1.3 engines with push rod valves
