de coding skoda head units

Featured Replies

hi all,

been offered a skoda head unit. i dont have the code, how do i go about getting a code for it? or do i need to take it to one of these places that does it for you?

where would the original code for the stereo be kept? log book/service book?

Contact Skoda UK and hand over the details of the radio/purchase. They can give you the code.

Original code is usually on a tear out card in the back page of the radio user manual.

There isn't a tear-out card in my manual - but there is a slip that says something about "if you haven't got a code, its because the car is fitted with convenience and there is no code" - or words to that effect.

Does anyone know if my old head unit can be transferred to another Octy RS ? Seems to me like it should be OK, but not sure

Kenny, careful now. There's a few unscrupulous people around offering hooky stereos. You have been warned :D

does anyone know how to enter the code??????

i looked up the book and it says use keys 1-6. but have a code with a 7 and 9 in it. is the code wrong? or how do i enter 7 and 9?

nothing is easy!!! :(

Hi

Dealer says : Use button 1 to cycle through first digit, button 2 for second digit etc. Once code is displayed correctly, press station seek button until it beeps and it should accept the code.

You use numbers 1-4 pressing each the number of times for that digit. e.g. 3247:

press 1 3 times

press 2 2 times

press 3 4 times

press 4 7 times
