Pd160 Intake Green Filter

Featured Replies

Picked up cupra air intake today, think i confused SEAT garage by being too young looking to own a Cupra and then driving away in a Skoda :)

I know this will be old news for most people, but i am SO chuffed :D

The car revs smoother and a little harder all the way from idle upto almost 5000Rpm

Can i even say 5000rpm on a diesel car forum or will i be banned??

The car feels great and i haven't fitted the green filter yet as it will probably not arrive until next week.

Ive fitted mine this morning and am also awaiting my filter ! Initall thoughts are that it does slightly feel a bit smoother and picks up a just a touch quicker.....

Mine feels the same after fitting the cupra bits. No question about it, revs better, gives you a clear option to hold on to revs abit longer on an overtake or change up. Still not a petrol style rev range but noticably better than before.

Has anyone tested the green filters for airfow? I only ask because many years ago in a mag (I think car and car conversions) they flow tested all the aftermarket panel filters (k&n and co) and found that the original filters flowed as well as them. Perhaps things have changed but for now my jabba map and cupra pipe are mated to standard filter - and work very well together!

Hi Barrie,

From what i have read etc etc i think the answer is that a standard paper filter could provide as much flow as an after market one when it is brand new. The difference is that they can get very dirty and are only changed infrequently at services. A green filter is cleaned by the owner as often as they want, so it is always giving the best flow possible.
