D2S bulb problem

Featured Replies

After fitting the xenons from the group buy and getting new d2s bulbs, and adding the adapters and some ballasts ive had an issue. Firstly the ballasts were from my HID kit and have always been spot on in terms of working.

The problem i have is, occasionally the drivers side bulb doesnt ignite but turning the headlights off and on again ignites it. I cant see it being the ballast as it would be duff all the time wouldnt it? So that leaves the bulb at fault?

Opinions please!

Thanks

I know it's stating the obvious, but tried switching them round?

Yeah and theyre fine, no issues at all! Kinda got me stumped, but as i say when they are swapped back the drivers bulb plays up once in a blue moon.

Mine started to do the same but more frequently.

Eventually packed in one day.... This was what it looked like when I removed it...

Mine has done this twice since I've fitted mine, wonder if its the adapters we got from car mod shop

Jesus! I might get another set of adapters and bulbs anyway as a back up for any pending issues. Ive had the bulb and adapter out this morning and they look fine so far.

I replaced the whole lot - bulbs and ballast as I didn't know what caused it.

Got two of these. They look more OEM and mean I don't have to bother with adapters :)
