Eibach lowering spring question for 1.6TDi Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

As far as I can make out, this should be the right spring set for a 1.6TDi Monte Carlo

Can anyone confirm whether this is right, please, or let me know the correct code if I'm wrong

Cheers

is says 30 mm drop, wouldnt it just be 10 mm as the monte are 20 mm lowered as standard?

if its just 10mm its a waist of money. Go for something that drops 40mm (the drop will be 20mm on the monte)

they are model specific. its a 30 mill drop from a standard 1.6TDi Monte Carlo

they are model specific. its a 30 mill drop from a standard 1.6TDi Monte Carlo

and where does it say that they are spesific for the Monte Carlo? I find it hard to belive that it drops 30mm on a monte

have a look on Eibach's website, its where I confirmed the codes from.

I dont know why you find it hard to believe... just look at the pictures of other people cars on here on lowering threads...

I've driven jonnyboys vRS to see what its like lowered and revod, and his has h&r springs, that lower the vRS 40 mill... and the vRS is lower than the monte already, so why would it be hard to believe you can lower a monte 30 mill?

I think Joten is querying whether the drop refers to the standard Fabia as opposed to the Monte Carlo. As far as I can see the VRS has a specific application on the Eibach site (it's the only Fabia with the 1.4 tsi engine) whereas the various 1.2 TSI Fabias are not differentiated on the Eibach site.
