Going back to standard...

Featured Replies

so after much enjoyment of having my VRS lowered on spax springs and the stealth look of 16" black steelies, i've decided to go back to standard. as much as i love the look and the ride, i'm just sick and tired of avoiding roads with speed bumps on and there is also a strange whining noise from inside the cab sometimes - my wife! she told me the other day that she hates my car as it is and she feels unsafe in it. i dont want that now do i?

big decision to go back to standard but i'm kinda looking forward to a smoother ride now - i'm 36 in a couple of weeks and my body just doesnt need all the bumps either!!

car is being worked on next weekend providing the weather is good so it wont be long!!

Surely a sock is the best solution here, not changing the car again

(tell her to put a sock in it! lol) and tell her that the only thing it will affect is handling, not safety. Although it might make you drive a bit slower, perhaps. I think your mad !

hey ho a change is as good as a.... and all that.

i'd love to take your advice but i value my jewels!!

i dont mind putting it back to standard, as i said i'm gonna be knockin on the door of 40 soon so the smoother ride will be better for me (i think!)

When u do it let us know what the weather is like up there because standard is on monster truck suspension lol coil overs are way better for ride I had spring and now have coil overs there amazing

My standard vRS is a refreshing blend of comfort & reasonable body control - as long as it isn't pushed too much. The roads around me are bumpy & crashy so standard suits me just fine..for now :)
