I've got a ABD racing strut brace and that rubs on the bonnet bracing but it doesn't seem to lift it,does yours brace look higher on that side and can u see where its rubing?

It is slightly higher that side mate, the foot is tight down, its somewhere over the maf id say rite over that side. Thinking put a towel on it and a bit of a tonk to try bend it down but given its a strut brace im thinking it wont want too.... Plus i dont want to break the weld

I only noticed it cos im abit ott so was running hand up the gap when was shut

Yo pal i fitted one of these last weekend and have had the same problem. The only thing i can think of doing is raising the bonnet to try and clear it theres hardly anything in it, but so such a pain after all the effort to fit it. Wats ur plans?

It slots down in the groove ive cut out on the shield mate, i did slide the rubber sleeve back along which is abit chunky so i'll trim it off and try it

But it does still move if you pull it so its not trapped

Nothing to loose

i just been down to look at mine, laid the brace on the car and closed the bonnet no problem... Strange.

Just my luck..... I'll look into it tomaro

Might be worth a try just taking the rubber seal from heat sheild off again and try

Not having much luck lately :(

I concur, I dont have a heat shield and mine seems to sit ok.

Think I am going to look at mine again to see how my bonnet sits. thought my bonnet was lifted slightly, when run fingers down side, but i have had a front end smack whcih i was wondering if it was to do with that, as bonnet sits fine at top where brace is and bottom where catch is.... just part way up it seems to be a bit raised.

But interesting.
