At the moment this is a feeler as i need to find whether to sell or scrap the car

Need to recoup some money due to getting married in 4 weeks

2002 Seat Ibiza Sport 3dr – 130 tdi pd - ASZ

The bad points

1st and 2nd gear lost - possible rivot sheared on pre selector

Could do with new clutch - not sure about flywheel

10 year old car so paintwork not perfect in all places

Alloys kerbed

Air con clutch gone

205/40/17 - yoko paradas on the front - lots of tread left

323mm brembo gt junior kit with brand new discs and pads ( month old) and braided lines

Seat sport intercooler

Full alloy / silicone hard pipe kit + EGR Delete

BMC CDA intake with silicone pipe work

Jabbasport remap to 180bhp / 295 ftlb

Ive replaced bushes with poly as and when including gearbox mount

S5 Bosch Battery – 2 months old

LCR splitter

Honeycomb grills from FR

Debaged centre grill

3 Button flip key + 2 spare keys

If I sell the parts I would expect £3k so selling for £2300

You would get best money if you were to break and sell the parts. But I suppose that's only good if you got plenty of time to spend breaking it up.

I had a golf which had the same problem. I stupidly took it to a vw dealer who charged me in excess of £1000 to put it right. Looking back, it would have been cheaper to buy a replacement gearbox.

Personally mate, break it. You've already got people asking for bits.

Either way good luck with sale. It's a good looking car, nice on the RS4 wheels too!
