May issue of EVO mag on the shelves

Featured Replies

May be worth buying this issue if you're following the Fabia vRS Estate long-term test.

There's a photo of the car and a few positive paragraphs. The car appears to be going down well with Paul Lang.

Does it? I had stopped reading at the point he had just had a puncture and as soon as he was recovered, he had Oil Warning lighting up and thought well... that ain't going to be one good test!

Woohoo. Awesome

Haha

Well, it seems that is behind him now and the car is 'getting under his skin'

Just wasn't sure what 'woohoo. Awesome Haha' was referring to exactly.

Somebody asked about it:

Seems all cars in the UK are delivered with the annoying "driver's door only" feature activated whereas mine and a few other Fabias I've been into were all set up from factory to unlock everything with 1 click...

If they don't intend to charge a small amount for re-activating it I don't get the point why they don't get it sorted prior to delivery....

They are supposed to ask you before they do PDI what you want but very few bother because most of their customers don't know any different

Picked mine up Tuesday ,all the doors open on 1st press of remote ! :)

When he mentions "getting under my skin" he means he's liking it.

I must say though, he's absolutely spot on about the central locking. It's an utter pain in the ass and the dealers want £40 to change it !

Whoever decided to have that setting as default needs booting in the balls.

I want a black roof too!!

:p

Black roof looks pimp :)

Black roof looks pimp :)

Does that mean the dash has to be covered in lambswool then ?

At least they seem to like which is good.

I had my locking changed at first service too, to one click.

Mines going in Thursday to have the "service due" warning turned off that should have been done when it was serviced before I picked it up. Its a 60 mile round trip so I moaned about the fuel it was going to cost me and they agreed to alter the locking to one click and turn off the "bong" that happens when the phone connects. Oh, and they're changing the de-laminated rear badge as well.

When he mentions "getting under my skin" he means he's liking it.

I thought that was a weird phrase when saying you liked something....odd journalism!

i have seen a silver vRS with a black roof on Autotrader.

Have to say it looks a bit odd due to the esate's rear window dropping down and the black part of the roof not meeting it very well - it meets right at the top of the return curve so it looks a bit, well, not right!
