Get the cluster surround out - how ?!*%@#

Featured Replies

So I need to do a cluster repair on the Octavia as job no 1 (to be honest I'm thinking MFD install - the cluster variety rather than the GPS!) but the removal ofthe surround has flumoxxed me :)

I've removed the 2 screws and started peeling away - some of the spring tangs got caught behind the dash but I've freed those up, but the bottom of the surround just dont wanna come free, is there a screwdriver trick/flick of the wrist trick?

Cheers Guys :)

two T20 and some clips and it should easily be off.

Yeah I saw that link - anything but "easily" for me - I'll have another look

You have you force it a lil bit, thought I was gonna break mine when I was trying to pull it off, think I did one side at a time
