Vogtland suspension

Featured Replies

ive never come across vogtland stuff before so cant comment on them, they are cheap though by the looks of it...

ap racing stuff is quite good, fitted those to a freinds clio and i was quite impressed with the quality and handling

Got them on my Fabia, they've improved the handling vastly over stock but

general ride wise they aren't as good as the (More expensive by a good bit)

Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks on my MX5.

That said the Vogtland ride is generally better than stock on my Fabia but if you find a deep dip

in the road or a sunken manhole cover you really know all about it. Strut brace probably doesn't help

there though to be honest.

When/if I continue to mod the Fabia I'll probably duplicate the same setup I have on the Mazda.

Not that I ever expect the Fabia to handle as well as it does. But the ride is better and they are taut enough

for fast cornering (The MX5 handles GREAT! by the way. Different league to the Fabia)

All in all I would say that you get what you pay for and Vogtland gear is mid priced

so expect middle of the road performance. Not great, but not crap either...

What you'll get is an improvement over stock shocks and springs with better ride height

(mine are -25mm) with crisper handling and less body roll.

You will sacrifice some comfort though on bad roads, that's the trade-off really.

My advice would be to spend as much as you can comfortably afford on your suspension,

Generally speaking, the more you spend, the better the ride.
