FISCON Basic Plus - where from?

Featured Replies

Right folks, I want to replace my Parrot with a kit that requires no extra buttons, has no visible mic and, crucially, displays caller ID information on my Maxidot. My dad also wants a bluetooth kit fitted to his Superb.

My Octavia is a 2007 vRS with a retrofitted RCD510DAB - my dad's is a 2011 Superb SE with factory Bolero, the former CAN and the latter BAP I believe. I've been looking specifcally at the Fiscon because it apparently works with the Maxidot controls on the wiper stalk and specifically the Basic Plus because it'll work with the touch screen controls.

My local in-car company want £450 to supply and fit a kit to each car. I'm still trying to decide whether that's reasonable or not - while I am, can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier of the Fiscon kits and what I should expect to pay (supply only).

Alternatively, will any of the OE VAG kits work with my Maxidot controls or is the only option the Fiscon?

Cheers

Have you tried Shark Performance as I believe there only in Chesterfield. Highly recommended by many people on this site.

I had original skoda/vow bluetooth retrofitted at HazzyDayz. Had a Columbus unit fitted at the same time. Bluetooth phone controls all work great via the touch screen

The guys there did a great job and all with a full warranty

Think £450 is relatively reasonable given the price of the units. See linky below - they will supply for £329 but for extra £99 will install.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I spoke to Shark ages ago about this, understandably due to the cost of the kits, they can't offer the Briscount (geddit) and work out approximately the same price as my local company who I have previously used for work on my cars. As good as Shark's reputation is, it just doesn't make sense this time to do 100 mile round trip in two cars to get the job done.

I was thinking £450 looked about right, it's just a big whack of cash to swallow, but if that's what you want, you have to pay the money eh?
