Hi,

New to Briskoda. I am on my 2nd Octavia and love it to bits. It's a 2.0TDi and is coming up 7 years old. Had it from new and cant afford to change to a VRs just yet. It's getting to the stage where things are starting to go wrong and I will need help fixing them.

I have just been on the "Ask a tech" forum but it wont let me post on there. Can someone explain why?

Hi. Had the car since May 25. Always been a knocking sound like metal on metal from the front suspension when driving over bumps in the road. It sounds a bit like an old worn shock absorber on a car from the past. The dealer identified and acknowledged the unusual sound but were unable to identify the cause. I contacted Skoda UK customer services who were generally pretty unhelpful. The did supply the dealer with a copy of a page from an internal powerpoint presentation which revealed that

I do need to change my lovely (but aged) 2010 Fabia 1.6tdi so went looking for a year old 1.5tsi DSG SEL, found a nice one at a local dealer but when looking at the finance side of things, it worked out similar to buy a brand new one (via Carwow prices) due to the Skoda contribution and the lower APR on a PCP. Hi everyone as a newbie I thought I’d send a virtual wave and introduce my new to me 2022 Skoda kodiaq 2.0 diesel 150hp 2WD DSG SEL exec. Picked it up on Saturday and am impressed so far. I have already disabled stop/go and switched on traffic sign recognition using obdeleven! The car replaces a much loved Qashqai.

Hi I couldn't find any relevant previous threads other than this not helpful one for my situation https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/536808-odometer-mileage-has-gone-down-since-last-year/ Unfortunately the garage that did the first MOT for my 2023 Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI e-TEC in February did not appreciate the distance on the odometer was km rather than miles (I have been taking the car a few times to Europe and had changed the distance display to metric and never thought of changing it back
