Speaker Adaptor Plates

Featured Replies

This last week or so I have noticed a few strange sounds coming from my front JBL door speakers. I originally put it down to the speakers being on the way out (not good considering they were less than 12month old),

So today I decided to pull my door card off and check everything out. It turn's out my Autolead's adaptor plate has broken away at the base near the screw's where they mount to the door.

Just wondering if there is any other options for an uprated adaptor so that I don't have this problem once again in the future, My front speaker's are ran off the HU and due to the sub, they are turned right down on the HPF so very little bass is going through them. I am however going to Dynamat the door to reduce the vibrations incase this was the cause of the break.

Is there anybody who know's of a stronger adaptor plate or will I have to make my own out of MDF rings and if so what's the sizes that I need to make them too?
