R32 dsg intake

Featured Replies

i know this topic has been brought up before but just wanna know has anybody actually tried the r32 intake retro fit. the octavia one goes into a hole in the wing but the pipe itself is a bottle-neck for air flow. and it seems there is room to fit the r32 pipe running next to the battery.

just want to see if anyone has givin it a go

cheers

I've got a 3in pipe running fom front ns bumper grill up side of battery to my induction kit,

Don't know how much differance it makes but it must do something

Would you be able to make some sort of feed from the bottom of the bumper to the snorkel on the DSG box???

So it would be kinda like a CAI feed, but look OEM.

A friend has MKIV gti with the DSG airbox mod and we were pondering this whilst the two cars were beside each other.

Let us know how you get on!

thats exactly what im after trying to keep the oem look. if it works ill put up a build thread about it.

To be honest you will be wasting your time getting the R32 pipe as in the golf the airfeed comes up by the light and grill fitting. This is not achievable in the octy as there is no space to get that feed to the same area as in the golf. This is why folks ditch the octy the inner wing feed and connect a 3" flexi pipe from arbox down to bumper grill to do a better job than even the R32 would be able to do and a fraction of cost.

interesting anyone got pics of the flexi pipe set against the bumper grill? seems like a very low place to put it
