Hi all, my driver electric window has suddenly become an issue it lowers but evry other time it is operated as sonn as it goes all the way up and hits the top it comes back done half way and if you the switch up it makes a tick tick tick noise normally it ticks once and thats it think it's most probs the switch or a relay just thought i'd check if anyone else has had this problem? cheers

It is the anti child strangulation protection, ie it hits an obstruction and then retracts to reduce pressure.

This sometimes gets out of setting, or something as simple as an insect body crushed in the door window channel makes it retract as it is very sensitive,

I can't remember the sequence but normally it can be reset by some combination of the ignition key use and operating the window, should be detailed in the car manual. Check the recess around the top of the door is free of debris first.

I appreciate tht mate but not sure if my car has this as its tried to take make hand off in the window on a number of occasions
