It's a round of the IRC this year which means there will be 5 Fabia S2000s there including the works team of Juho Hanninen and Jan Kopecky plus Skoda UK's Andreas Mikkelsen.

It's a round of the IRC this year which means there will be 5 Fabia S2000s there including the works team of Juho Hanninen and Jan Kopecky plus Skoda UK's Andreas Mikkelsen.

Shame it is only in the North as I would love to pop over if there were some stages in the Dublin area as I am in West Wales this week end and would have popped over as a foot passenger but too expensive to take the car for the weekend.

Really should include the whole of Ireland and not just the some of the Northern counties as they would get far more attendance I reckon.

Most rallies these days run a tight route. Rally of Great Britain is known now as "Rally around Cardiff"

Was at the Wales Rally and based around Buith Wells, fortunately was not the Skoda the ran in to Sebastion Loeb.

The Welsh Rally was all over Wales, right up in to the North as well as down in the South and Mid and I was hoping the Ireland Rally was similar.

Best luck to Andreas, really nice fellow as I met him at Goodwood at the Skoda Rally event they had there. Part of the reason we bought a Fabia VRS!

Well done Andreas for keeping second place despite big off on Stage 12 which ruptured his ear drum so he still has the lead in the championship.

Really tight battle at the front between Andreas and Juho both pushing really hard, shame it ended with Andreas' mistake on the Lisburn stage.

Corsica should be good - probably going to be some stages live on Eurosport there.

Attended an open evening with a friend at my dealer Mervyn Stewart, Belfast where Andreas and Juho made an appearance. Friend won entrance to the Skoda area and after party in Armagh. Great time and nice to see all three Skodas on the podium. Have photos and if I knew how to upload I would...

But.....Rally Wales, used to be Rally GB (in Wales), but before that it really was Rally GB. Back in the day it lasted 4 days and nights and covered Wales, the Midlands(lost of country parks and Stately home savages) The N East (Grizdale etc), South of Scotland( Ae, Castle oer. Twiglees Craik. Glentress Cardrona, Yair), Back down through Keilder.

Sadly the Tweed Valley stages are now devoted to "public access" and Mountain Bikes - interestingly there are more accidents and injuries than there ever were with Group B rally cars - There is hardly a weekend goes by but here is not an ambulance at Glentress and you see rescue helicopters every couple of months.
