Koni FSD and stock springs

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any experience with KONI FSD dampers and the regular stock springs (no lowering or sports suspension) on a Superb II?

Do you really get a noticeable improvement in ride comfort or will it just enhance the handling characteristics (especially if only using 16 or 17 inch rims)? I heard that KONI FSD often slightly increase the height. How does this apply to the Superb? Will it settle after some time?

I currently configuring my new Superb estate and especially wish to increase the ride comfort. So I even consider of swapping the 17 inch alloys against 16 inch.

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

i cant say anything relating to the superb but on my clio sport the shocks was ace

sofen them for comfort or make them firm for some handling fun

i liked them

I have fitted H&R springs (mine is 4x4).The cost was £161 plus fitting. http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?a=i&p=HR291624G∂=Skoda-Superb-3T-Saloon-4WD-H-R-Lowering-Springs-Spring-Kit

It has made the most amazing advantage. The handling is now fantastic. My last car was an Alfa and the handling is now up to that Italian stand - a really good and cheap solution. The person I used to fit them is in Witney Oxon and they were very professional and cheap!

I really cant believe I am still driving a Skoda saloon is is stunning - well recommended

another vote for H&R springs, firms up the ride but the handling is improved dramatically. I also fitted H&R front and rear sway bars

My intention actually is to get a better ride comfort. I would even trade a loss of some handling characteristics for this.
