Just removed Jabba RARB, Forge R Strut, SS F Strut and Eibach FARB...

So all the above have just been removed from my car in one hit, just went for a spirited drive with NO ARB's (not even the standard front) and no strut braces and the car handles exactly the same. Complete waste of money and weight... And carrying all 4 into my house, it's quite a bit of weight too!

The crash bar has also been cut drastically so a lot of support will have gone too yet the car still feels just as planted.

I can only presume my coilovers (KW V3) are so good that they don't need anything else and you only need all this tat with cheap budget coilovers or whatever...

Thoughts?

Crashbar is only there for accident protection, not as a strut brace. :) Could remove entirely and it would be the same (but not in a front ender)

Agreed about top strut brace. I only left mine on for looks really, and it weighs nothing. I feel the difference with the rear ARB, but thats just me. Am I reading it right you have no front anti roll bar at all - not even the one Skoda fit as oem?

Doesn't the front arb attach to the drop links? That would mean you have no drop links?? (Maybe wrong mind)

the place next to unit 18 that used to build rally spec cars said its there for structure and not to remove it, if it is thtere for crash protection i would have removed it ages ago

I'd agree too, I've been saying for years that strut braces do feck all to modern Vags. None of us corner anywhere near the limits that stress the chassis, there's just no way, and even less chance on the road. You'd have to be pulling some serious sideways G forces to be actually putting any twisting forces that bend the chassis enough to warrent some sort of extra bracing!
