1st SE gone. Tried a second - gone. 06 VRS in silver, 28k. Gone. Why are these cars on the dealer network!! Trying again monday as I had to make a move and dealer was expecting calls back.

Fabia VRS suspension as standard isn't particularly sporty. I decided mine was made out of grandad's old armchair so put Eibachs in several years ago.

Recommend you get a drive before buying.

Mods wise...

£500-£800 suspension springs/dampers or coilovers.

Remap £299

Cruise £160-£199

RARB? £130-£220

Problems wise I've had or currently have...

Sensors (coolant and fuel temp (£20-£30 each).

Leaky doors.

Console bushes.

An odd period where the alarm had brainfarts one winter so I pulled the fuse. Done nowt to fix it but needed a key coding in "May" so refitted the fuse and clenched ears.... Has worked fine since. <shrug>

Currently the boot light doesn't work.

Alloys are now looking a little bubbly.

What is RARB?

I've driven/owned an Octavia (great), Superb (fine as driver, hard ride as passenger), Dad's 2 Fabia Mk2s (1st was solid - lo-pros, 2nd less so - hiGher profile), Polo and Golf.

I want a more sport orientated, smaller car, so I'll have to take a punt, as finding the time (and a car!) To test drive is hard.

What is RARB?

so a month since my last post and many disappointments later, I switched from VRS to any Mk1 1.9 TDI. No lucke there either. So today, after crunching the numbers, I am buying a Mk2 Monte Carlo. Thanks for all your help and advice!
