Amundsen Sat Nav - 7 Digit Postcodes?

Featured Replies

Hello! First post. I have searched for an answer to this, but not found anything conclusive. We've put a deposit on a new Yeti SE+. The Dealer hasn't been able to show us the SatNav working with 7 digit postcodes. Which is how I use my current Garmin almost daily for my job, so it's an important point.

His view is it should work and he'll get the workshop to look at it tomorrow. Being impatient, I thought I'd ask here first and see if there was a definitive answer? It's a brand new car, probably brought in start of the year as they are just due to pay for it (hence we got a deal - of sorts ;) - on it)

We drove a Yeti, decided we couldn't afford a new or even a recent 2nd hand one. We then drove a Kuga, Cashcow, X-Trail (I have the older one), Forrester and Sportage. After which we went back and bought the Yeti we couldn't afford ;)

Hi i have the Amundsen in my 61 plate and it works on 7 digits, dealer may need to update software on it. get it done before you take the car(they should do it for free)

Great. That's a relief. Thanks for the quick answer :)

V3 disc/maps gives the sat nav a 7 digit postcode.

Welcome Alex - you're in a friendly place here - some of us even ride bikes

Thanks Rob. Not like that other forum you moderate then :) I have found lots of interesting stuff already. Really quite excited about getting our Yeti. Certainly more excited than a man of 43 probably should be!

V3 disc/maps gives the sat nav a 7 digit postcode.

V4 has same, just select: flag / town in GB / enter postcode via querty and numerical keys and off you go.

Dealer just called me. Apparently he was 'in the wrong bit' when he was showing us. All working now he's been given the knowledge by one of the techs. Thanks for the comments tho, nice to know it's not some kind of bodge.

Nice one. BTW I think the Amundsen sounds great, just putting my music on a 320gb harddrive
