Found today a bit of plastic broken off the rear wiper attachment - one of those thin arms had broken off the sliding bit that locks the blade to the arm. It seems to hold okay with just the one arm intact but can't leave it like that.

So ordered one on-line from Carparts 4 less.co.uk. It is a "real" Bosch A400H and cost only £7.32 including vat and postage.

Halfords list the same item at about £15, and that is without postage.

Even Wiperblades is over £2 dearer than Carparts 4 Less.

Has anyone else used them?

Anywhere has got to be better than Halfords for wipers. I was behind 2 people buying aerowipers in there and each of them paid nearly 50 quid for a pair. There is a GSF car parts not 5mins away who charge about half that, felt like telling them but Halfords would of probably chucked me out and I was desperate for a fuel line hose.

I normally get mine from the stealer for about the same price as carparts4less, but the one on there now is very poor, part of the blade doesn't make contact with the screen........

I have just ordered a front set for swmbo's Golf, from Eurocarparts, a sponsor on here, something to note, the prices are more than carparts4less, but after you apply the Briskoda discount they are slightly cheaper -

Bosch front wiper set = £23.40 from EC - £17.55 after discount, or £18.90 from CP's.......

However the rear wiper is still more even after the discount! :wonder:

I noticed on my old one that the centre part was very slightly off the screen and it is possible to gently straighten the blade a bit giving much better contact (for a while!)

Got mine from the dealer at a service. I think it was about €7!

My specialist, Clarion Cars, does them a good price too, but I'd have to add £4 for petrol just to get over there and back! What a rip off.
