Flashing glow plug

Featured Replies

Hi this mornin my glow plug light started flashing car still starts and drives fine I got the dtc code of 16955 which related to brake pedal switch is this the most likely cause the rear brake lights still work so I was just a bit uncertain any help would be appreciated

Just had a call from the better half and she sad that it has stopped flashing!! Slightly confused

glow plug light is well related to a fault with the electrical side of the brake system as far as a faulty bulb or faulty brake pedal switch.

Take the switch out, clean with electrican spray - refit/replace

Check the brake bulbs visually, might have slight corrosion behind it or a bad connection maybe?

Thanks as I 8pm tonight I have 6 days off work so that will be a job to look intoa few months ago I thought one of the brake lights were a bit dodgy as it used to not work then the bulb light would come on and then it would work again but hasn't done it in months so I guess it's probably all related some how

The brake pedal switch costs around a tenner and is an fairly quick swap. Bulb faults either do not show up or show as a different dash light, depending on the cars spec.
