1.4mpi water flashing light on dash

Featured Replies

My brother has a 1.4mpi, and his engine coolant light keeps coming on. I took it for a drive and then turned it on and off and it went away, but it is persistent! We just had a new expansion bottle and sensor fitted but it keeps coming back :-/ help!!! :-O

Was it a new bottle or from a scrappy? If its second hand then buy a new one from skoda or tps, if it is new then id see it as a loose connection or a dodgy instrument cluster.

What does the coolant look like?

They were new parts it was done under the 3 month warranty.. The coolant is like a pinky colour? Hope this helps

Pinky colour is correct, nothing wrong here. If the bottle and sensor have been replaced then it could be a wiring fault.

I'm not very electrical minded, would this be a garage job or is it easy enough? Anyone also had any experience sealing off a sun roof. This car has (for reasons unknown) a third party sunroof installation. It leaks crazy amounts of water, we are thinking of jusstartling it completely off and undoing the wiring so it can't be messed with.
