What Colour Neptunes?

Featured Replies

Toying with the idea of changing the colour of the alloys on swmbo's car which is a sprint yellow fl hatch. the wheels have some kerbing etc so was going to send them to Lepsons to sort. I quite fancy changing the colour at the same time. Wondering what others have done and if anyone has some images as well to help me make my mind up.

No idea of the actual shade 'name' (although I seem to remember it is a Skoda colour) but here is mine:

Think a nice Black, with the other Black pack bits.

Stick with silver :peek:

BMW sparkling graphite (A22):

Yours are nice Oobster, do you have these as winter wheels, you still got your 19s

Yes, still got them, had every intention of using them as winter wheels but never got round to changing them so had the 19's on all winter!

I'd go with Rob's suggestion, of that shade of graphite/dark anthracite.

Otherwise, yellow's the only body colour that I'd consider using a fully black wheel for. Not a fan of them otherwise as you tend to completely loose the detail of the wheel, plus they end up blending into the tyre.

Anthracite

Swmbos? Can I ask what this means in proper English?

Not really gone on neptunes I think they look like a flower, Skoda should have kept the zeniths way nicer.

As in colour I like anthracite too :)

I did a Photoshop some time ago for someone else, yellow with anthracite:

Been toying with doing mine too as I've kerbed one. What do you do about the wheel nut covers?

You should be able to get silver or black covers from Skoda. So generally fit whichever look best with the wheel finish :)

Otherwise you could get the covers plastic sprayed up I suppose.

Cheers Guys, the anthracite looks promising. I quite like the idea of a chrome paint finish. I also quite Like Blue's wheels which still look smart what finish s on those. Black is todays colour but tomorrow it'll be so last year. (imo)

You can get Anthracite wheel cover nuts, I have them, I will find the code

Another day, another useless bit of Skoda knowledge obtained!

Cheers Alan ;)

Grey wheel nut covers are standard on the Neptune and Proteus alloy wheels, not sure about the others...

The gunmetal code is 1Z0601173 x 16 and locking wheel nut covers 1Z0601173A X 4  AND BEEFY MY COLOUR OF WHEELS IS SMOKED CHROME DSC00191.jpg
