Fuel cap rubber

Featured Replies

Anyone know if /how easy it is to replace these .Mine's broken ,and I've got visions of it getting lost when I refuel .

You can't get the rubber bit separately as I looked into it a while ago. I ended up making one out of waxed cord and used the small plastic bit from the old one to attach it back to the car.

Scrap yard? Probly spoiled for choice... Cost you about 50p or most places would just give you it for free if you get anything els.

Thanks .Had thought about heatshrink with epoxy inside, but heat source might be a problem, even though it's a diesel .

Scrapyard isn't a bad call actually, I never thought of that! Lol

Thanks for the ideas ,lads. It's broken at the flap hinge side. Might see if I can get the bit out, and fix the end in the hole.
