Yep.

As has been said on here a zillion times. bhp quoted from any random make of Rolling Road is kind of pointless as they are not going to be comparable.

Different RR units and operators often produce different figures on the same car.

We did this on the mkI Fabia forum and my car was 280-odd bhp, but there is no way it can be. It's overreading by 20-30, so about 10%.

So mine shows as the most powerful when we all know Devonutopia's is really.

This is why I like quarter mile times.

vRSy is already running a 1.4Tsi quarter mile thread.

There's a guy on seat cupra net that reckons he's got 240 with stage 1 Revo and no other mods where mine with Miltek tbe, Itg, and Revo stage 2 its developing 220ish.

Plus the 1/4 times aren't strictly relevant to power. The best measure of performance is something like the 30 -130 runs as it eliminates the driver as much as possible

As long as the mk2 boys stay out of this thread I win lol.

True, there is an element of driver and set up. But the 1/4 mile is an easily accesible event. 30-130 days are not so easy to come by unfortunately.

I've yet to do one. :(

That guy with the cupra is cookoo land lol. I agree on the 1/4 mile times although terminal speeds will show the potential of a car irrelevant of the launch

Spot on Sy.

Compare mine and Devonutopia's mkI Fabias and while my 1/4 mile time is 0.1 seconds quicker his terminal speed is about half a mph more, showing his makes a little more bhp.

I know i messaged him and he was adament it was a true figure. He also said it was dynod at amd which says it all really. According to their rollers an st150 with an induction kit and exhaust (no map) made 188 bhp. Laughable at best

I couldn't get past a 14.002 at santapod the otger day with all the traction issues and DSG limiters cutting in. But compare my time with vRS Powered with his stage 1. Both same 1/4 time at the pod but mine is 8mph faster on the terminal. This is what I mean. VP nailed his launch perfect wheras I couldn't launch mine without spinning up savagly or hitting the dsg limiters and getting limp mode but even with a diabolical launch I still get higher terminals than anyone on our leaderboard(might need to check hurdys terminal but he has the same issue as me)

Agree with this, once the traction problems with Sy's is sorted I can see it hitting close to 13s 1/4 miles!

Anyone who thinks they will get over 230bhp on a stage 1 map is crazy I'm afraid

I'll have to see what my Forza 4 Seat Ibiza Cupra and Polo GTI make on the 1/4 mile with mods :)

Closest i'll get to my name on the board

Even non-DSG cars have issues. :D

On my 13.6 quarter mile I have a 60ft time of 2.3, which on 888 tyes is way to much IMO.

It seems to me that my launches are too brutal and the torque is killing the time.

I reckon vRSy has the most bhp on a vRS MKII. I doubt that there are many with more bhp than hime who have Ibiza's or Polo's either!

I have the bigest willy hahahamy wife doesnt agree though lol

i probably had the most powerful 1.2 when I had mine. It was running 140bhp but I dont have it anymore. :( :'(

Would love a 30 to 130 day :D I think my car would pull well to 130 - it shows no signs of slowing down getting to 100. :)

There was one at RAF Marham on the 25th March. But that's in Norfolk. Not exactly local to you.

If I hear of another I'll let you know.

The 24th was Evo and GT-R day, with the following day being open to the public.

They only run one event a year in March at RAF Marham organised by the Mitsubishi Lancer Register Forum.

Its a shame as i think it would be really popular. I reckon pne of the brisky mods should organise one..... :bandit: Its alot kinder to the car than a 1/4 mile as well.

Wander how much it is to rent Bruntingthorp for the day?

Last time I looked into hiring Bruntingthorpe they were asking £5k for the day!

Also if you have to compare 30-130 Runs you would have to have everyone at the same venue. RAF Marham airfield is uphill for a third of the run then it levels out for the second third and then the last third is uphill again, which makes the top speed section to get to 130 mph much harder and takes more time. Add to this weather as in the rain you'd still have traction issues up to 70+ mph.

Are people seriously interested in a 30-130 event?

If so I'll put the time in to see what can be arranged. Don't expect it to be cheap though as the venue is the issue.

Even with a lot of cars at RAF Marham it was around £90 each.

My Fab had 700 horsepower, did 700 mph and was good for 700 mpg.

0-60 was 0.700 secs, 30-130 in 7.00, 1/4 mile in 7.00, terminal speed 170 (knots as it took off).

It was dropped in the weeds, had 0.7 mm suspension movement, 7mm ground clearance, and generally drew admiring glances each time it was parked (far too quick to be seen in motion). Every time I approached the car I had to fight off at least 7 members of the opposite sex desperate to meet the brave, courageous and generally admirable person who chose to drive it. I rarely departed without a gorgeous passenger or several.

The car showed what a thrusting sort I really am and made me an overnight success in everything I touched.

Sadly I can't prove the above as I have traded it now.

I now have an Octy and have therefore turned into a cabbage.

Uhm, my car isnt rated for 130!

We could let you do 30-130kph ;)

130kph is roughly 82mph!
